Peaches Reworks “Fuck the Pain Away” for a Hellraiser Video Game

Peaches has shared the first-ever official remix of “Fuck the Pain Away,” her immortal banger that we recently named the greatest electroclash song of all time. The reworked version was created for Saber Interactive’s forthcoming video game Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival; it’s produced by Saber’s music director, Steve Molitz, and features a spoken-word voiceover by Doug Bradley, who played Pinhead in the original cult horror film series. “With this rework of the track, it frames my song in a darker, more twisted world,” Peaches said in press materials. “‘Fuck the Pain Away’ is ever-expanding and now has new meaning in the Hellraiser universe. I’m in!” Molitz added, “I’ve always admired Peaches for her fiercely unapologetic, provocative approach to personal expression…Blurring the lines between pleasure and pain, this track is a raw, abrasive, three-act descent into a hellscape of transcendence, excess, compulsion and distortion.”

In March, Peaches returned with her first album in a decade, No Lube So Rude. She’ll continue touring the record through November, making stops across the West Coast, Mexico, and South America. Scroll down for her upcoming performances.
