Egypt strongly condemned the Wednesday evening attack on the King Fahd Airport in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

In an official statement published on its Facebook page, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: “The Arab Republic of Egypt expresses its strongest condemnation and denunciation of the attack that targeted King Fahd Airport in the city of Dammam in the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The attack resulted in two civilian casualties and several injuries, in a continued violation of international law and a indiscriminate, irresponsible targeting of air navigation, facilities, and civilians.”

“Egypt stresses its absolute rejection of such practices that inflame the crisis, escalate tension, and destabilize the region. Egypt reaffirms its full solidarity and stand alongside the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its leadership in defending its territory and citizens, as the Kingdom’s security is an integral part of Arab and Egyptian national security,” the statement added.

Death toll at 2, 8 injured

The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) announced on Thursday that the death toll from the attack rose to two following a confirmed additional fatality, while the number of injured remains at eight people.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), quoting the authority’s statement: “Further to the statement issued by the General Authority of Civil Aviation regarding the brutal attack that targeted King Fahd International Airport in Dammam on Wednesday evening, Jumada Al-Awwal 10, 1448 AH (corresponding to October 21, 2026); the Authority reports that the death toll from the attack has risen to two following a confirmed additional fatality.”

The authority stated that the deceased were a Saudi citizen and an Indian resident.
