HBO's Harry Potter series gets a new look.
Harry Potter is one of the biggest movie franchises of all time, with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint leading eight movies as Harry, Hermione, and Ron from 2001's Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone to 2011's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2. Now, 15 years after the last movie in the franchise was released, HBO is rebooting Harry Potter as a TV show with a new cast taking over the classic roles. Season 1 has been titled after the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and it just got another look before its December 25 debut.
On Instagram, HBO has shared an official poster for the Harry Potter reboot series.
The new poster comes with a close-up of Dominic McLaughlin's Harry Potter, bringing the franchise's famous description for the character, "The Boy Who Lived." Harry's signature round glasses and his prominent scar from surviving an early encounter with Voldemort are on full display in the poster. This new look at HBO's Harry Potter series also features Hogwarts, which is reflected in the young wizard's glasses, allowing fans of the franchise to compare it to how Hogwarts was portrayed in the Radcliffe-led Harry Potter movie franchise.
