Turnstile Draw 60,000 Fans to Washington Monument, Raise Over $220,000 for Humanitarian Aid

Turnstile capped the latest leg of their “NEVER ENOUGH TOUR” with their biggest hometown-area gathering yet, drawing an estimated 60,000 people to a free benefit concert at the Washington Monument on Saturday, October 24th.

The Baltimore hardcore band staged the National Mall show with Human Concern International to raise money for humanitarian relief efforts in Palestine, Sudan, and Lebanon. When Turnstile first announced the concert earlier this month, organizers were aiming to raise $100,000; by Sunday, the fundraiser had surpassed $220,000.

For frontman Brendan Yates, who grew up in Burtonsville, Maryland, the massive setting was also something of a homecoming. “This is a scene that raised us,” he told The Washington Post ahead of the concert. The paper reports that Yates had spent the previous day icing an injured ankle after weeks of touring, but still led the band through a 19-song, 75-minute set stretching from “Real Thing” and “Mystery” to “HOLIDAY,” “BLACKOUT,” and “NEVER ENOUGH.”

Midway through the set, Yates thanked the crowd for supporting the benefit before leading a chant of “Free Palestine! Free Sudan! Free Lebanon!” The show also carried some historical resonance for the local punk scene: Fugazi famously performed free concerts near the Washington Monument in the 1990s.

Saturday’s concert adds another milestone to a banner year for Turnstile. The group won its first two Grammys earlier in 2026, including Best Rock Album for NEVER ENOUGH, and made its Saturday Night Live debut earlier this month. They’ll next appear at Camp Flog Gnaw in Los Angeles in November before returning to the festival circuit in 2027.
