China steady at the top as Malaysia search elusive gold
KUALA LUMPUR: China remained solid at the top of the medal standings as Malaysia's search for gold continued at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Gamed on Tuesday.
As of 12 noon, powerhouse China lead with 24 gold, 10 silver and five bronze medals while hosts Japan are second with eight gold, 12 silver and 13 bronze medal.
South Korea remain at third spot with five gold, four silver and 15 bronze medal.
Malaysia have not added to their two bronze medals on Monday and have dropped one rung to 23rd place.
Malaysia will be hoping to add medals through wushu exponent Tan Cheong Min and from karate on Tuesday.
