M.anifest and Black Sherif trade verses on 'ROAD RAGE'

Ghanaian rapper M.anifest has released ROAD RAGE, a collaboration with Black Sherif. Released via Mass Appeal and Singitdamnit Music, the song brings together two generations of Ghanaian rap.

The record debuted live before it was released. M.anifest previewed it at his Nowhere Cool at 10 anniversary concert in Accra on Saturday, a show marking ten years since his 2016 album Nowhere Cool. Guests that night included Worlasi, Samini, Kwabena Kwabena, Ko-Jo Cue and Cina Soul. He announced the release date on X the next day.

Thematically, the song uses a road trip as an allegory for life’s journey. It explores ambition, personal drive and resilience in the face of obstacles. The pairing sets M.anifest’s sharp lyricism, built over a long career in Ghanaian hip-hop, against Black Sherif’s emotionally charged delivery.

For Black Sherif, the feature adds to a big year. He broke through in March 2022 with Kwaku the Traveller, which reached number one in both Ghana and Nigeria, and he has kept a high profile since. The collaboration places a newer-generation star beside a veteran of the scene.
