Suryaa Teaser Review: Sunny Deol Brings His Signature Anger To Expose The Medical System

Sunny Deol is now gearing up for his next film, titled Suryaa. The actor has a powerful screen presence and an even more powerful voice. After the massive success of Gadar 2, the actor has followed it up with impactful roles. While his earlier film, Batwara 1947, did not perform as expected, the actor is set to return with another hard-hitting subject.
The teaser of Sunny Deol’s next film has been unveiled. With a runtime of over one minute, the teaser reveals the theme it explores and Sunny’s power-packed avatar. The teaser opens with Sunny’s powerful monologue about the role doctors play in people’s lives and the amount of trust they enjoy. However, the tone changes as he speaks about how some doctors take this trust for granted and turn it into a money-making opportunity.
Sunny Deol seemingly plays an investigating officer who is personally affected by a medical system that treats healthcare as a profitable business model rather than a life-saving profession. The teaser of Suryaa hints at Sunny Deol’s character taking the legal route to fight against medical corporations that prioritize profits over human well-being.

While Sunny Deol is presented in a larger-than-life avatar in the film, the treatment feels dated. The teaser promises power-packed dialogues, action sequences, and intense drama, which is something one expects from a Sunny Deol film. However, many visuals make the treatment look rather dated, reminiscent of films from the early 2000s. Exposing systemic flaws in society was also a common trope in the early 2000s. Hopefully, the film brings more layers to the narrative and offers well-written dialogue.
We also see Ravi Kishan make an appearance in the teaser with just one line of dialogue. It isn’t clear whether he is an antagonist or on Sunny Deol’s side. Either way, the film promises to be a treat for Sunny’s fans. The teaser was released to celebrate Sunny Deol’s birthday today. Describing the film, the makers wrote, “Scarred by his past, driven by the truth, and ready to take on a system built to bury it.”
Produced by Deepak Mukut, Hemant Mukut, and Lokesh Mukut, the film has been directed by M. Padmakumar. The film has been written by Karan Razdan, Neeraj Pathak, and Mayank Sharma Dadhich. The film will be released in theaters on November 20, 2026.
