Weather: Rain and fresh winds to dominate one province

Here is what the weather has in store for KZN, Free State and North West on Saturday 12 September 2026.

KWAZULU-NATAL

Morning fog will cover parts of the central and western interior, while partly cloudy to cloudy conditions will bring cool to warm weather, with isolated showers and rain in places across the south.

Along the coast, light to moderate south-westerly winds will blow north of Richards Bay.

Elsewhere, northerly to north-easterly winds will spread towards Kosi Bay by midday and become fresh in the extreme north during the afternoon.

Durban is going to be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated showers and rain.

The wind will be light and variable, becoming light to moderate north-easterly from late morning.

MAHIKENG

Mahikeng is going to be fine

Temperatures will range from a minimum of 9°C. to a maximum of 24°C.
