Samsung TV Plus Strikes Creator Channel Deals With Fearne Cotton, Mark Rober & More

EXCLUSIVE: Samsung TV Plus has struck deals with creators to form a suite of channels and expand the reach of others.
In the UK, a trio of channels are launching in partnership with 208 Studios: Happy Place, which is based on Fearne Cotton‘s wellness podcast of the same name; Golf Life, the golfing brand led by Tubes, Ange and former footballer Jimmy Bullard; and Joe Media, the millennials-focused online news brand.
In Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines , Luke Nguyen’s World will be a FAST channel showcasing more than 95 episodes across nine series featuring Australian-Vietnamese chef, restaurateur and television presenter Luke Nguyen.
In Brazil and Mexico, Mark Rober TV is expanding with a dubbed version of former NASA scientist Mark Rober’s channel.
The channels expand Samsung TV Plus’ push into the creator space, which has been a major focus over the past year. The free streamer, which is built into Samsung Smart TVs, already houses channels from the likes of Dhar Mann, which is set to keynote at MIPCOM, and Michelle Khare.
“The creator economy is no longer a trend – it’s a global phenomenon that’s reshaping how audiences discover and engage with content,” said Salek Brodsky, SVP and Global Head of Samsung TV Plus. “Samsung TV Plus has been at the forefront of that evolution, giving the world’s leading digital storytellers a global platform to grow their brands, while expanding their reach to millions of viewers in a true television environment.”
