Nigeria U20 Thrash England To Book Spot In World Cup Quarter Final

The Women U20 team of Nigeria booked a spot in the quarter final of the ongoing U20 World Cup with an empathic 3-0 win over England in the round of 16, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Nigeria wasted no time in taking the lead with Tosin Rafiu in the 8th minute and not long after they were handed a shock when England were awarded a penalty, but it was saved by Christiana Uzoma in goal for Nigeria, leaving the game at 1-0 in favour of Nigeria going into the half time break.

Falconets returned from the break flying and two minutes later increased their lead through Seimeyeha Janet Akekoromowei, before Mary Mamudu wrapped up the emphatic win with a third in the 73rd minute.

They will face either Poland or Colombia for a spot in the semi final.
