Soundgarden Share Official Video of NFL Halftime Performance with Taylor Momsen: Watch

A couple weeks after Soundgarden rocked the NFL Kickoff Halftime Show at Seattle’s Lumen Field, fans can finally watch it in all its glory.

The band has shared official video of the performance, which wasn’t shown during NBC’s live broadcast of the game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots on September 9th, angering viewers who tuned in to see Soundgarden’s set.

The close-up pro-shot video shows surviving Soundgarden members Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron, and Ben Shepherd joined by The Pretty Reckless’ Taylor Momsen on vocals and Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready on additional guitar. All but Shepherd are wearing Seahawks jerseys.

With the high quality sound and video, fans can now witness Momsen delivering powerful vocals on “Outshined” and “Spoonman,” with the band sounding tight as ever. During “Spoonman,” Soundgarden was joined by Seattle’s “Blue Thunder” drumline, a fixture at Seahawks’ home games.

The surviving members have been working on a new Soundgarden album, which will contain vocals recorded by frontman Chris Cornell prior to his death in 2017. In July, Cameron revealed that the recording was done and the songs were being mixed.
