Spanish reports claim Endrick and Real Madrid had already agreed a loan move to Roma before Jose Mourinho intervened, so they are the favourites to try again in January.
The 20-year-old is growing increasingly frustrated at the lack of playing time he gets at the Bernabeu, and had already accepted a six-month loan spell at Olympique Lyonnais in January 2026.
That saw him score eight goals with eight assists in just 21 games, earning a place in Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad at the 2026 World Cup.
Endrick ready for Roma chance

Roma pushed to give him an opportunity in the summer, which would’ve included both Serie A and Champions League football under Gian Piero Gasperini.
According to Diario AS, the details had already been finalised and everything was ready to be signed when Mourinho intervened, convincing Endrick to remain in Madrid.

That really hasn’t panned out in his favour, because the Brazilian made just one four-minute appearance in LaLiga so far this season.
It’s now suggested he is out of patience and will push for a January move, so Roma are in pole position to try again, although they do face strong competition from top clubs.
Milan are among them, with rumours they will make an approach too.
