Keira Knightley and Joe Wilkinson serve up more "festive romance" in Waitrose 2026 Christmas ad

The pumpkins have been binned and the heating is officially on: Christmas is on its way!
Of course, as Santa's elves are hard at work building toys that'll fill the children's hearts with joy, some of our favourite brands have been hard at work producing adverts that'll be packed to the brim with festive feels for the grown ups.
Waitrose understood the assignment last year, creating 'The Perfect Gift', which saw Keira Knightley and Joe Wilkinson ('Phil Phil') find romance at a Waitrose cheese counter, and yesterday (5 November), they released a teaser for the long awaited sequel.

The short clip on advertising this years instalment sees Knightley running through the aisles of Waitrose, in slow motion of course, dressed in a wedding gown.
The video then fades out before flashing the date 10.11.26, referring to Tuesday 10 November, which will be when the full advert will premiere on YouTube at 6.30am.
Last year's advert began with a heartbroken 'Phil Phil' lamenting that his ex had proclaimed that the only person he could move on with was Knightley, much to the derision of his friends.
So who else could he possibly bump into while trying to snag a festive lump of Sussex Charmer? Knightley herself!
After arranging a date, she and 'Phil Phil' fell into the kind of love that every rom-com is made of: the honeymoon period, the misunderstanding, the grand gesture and the declaration of love.

There's plenty more to come from this year's Christmas campaign, with the advert being accompanied by two shorter, 60-second and 30-second cinematic trailers.
There'll also be romcom-inspired film posters which will tease the twists and turns of this year's continuation of Knightley and Phil Phil's love story.
The comment section was heaving with excitement, with one viewer writing: "Last year I requested that we get an entire series of this, with an update every year. So I'm very happy."
