Colts vs Commanders start time and how to watch NFL London live today

Sunday’s inter-conference showdown is an intriguing match-up between two teams who are each coming off huge wins.

The Commanders defied the absence of star quarterback Jayden Daniels through injury to stun the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks 33-31 on home soil in rainy Maryland last weekend and pick up their first victory of the season after successive losses to the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys in opening NFC East battles.

The experienced Marcus Mariota lived up to his billing as one of the NFL’s best back-up signal-callers, throwing for three touchdowns against a formidable defensive unit as back-up linebacker Kain Medrano also delivered a crucial pick-six of Sam Darnold as the Seahawks saw a run of 12 consecutive victories ended by Dan Quinn’s team.

Mariota will start once more against the Colts after Daniels was again ruled out, despite having logged three limited practices as he recovers from the dislocated left elbow he suffered in the week two loss to the Cowboys.

Indianapolis arrive in London having also avoided falling into a daunting 0-3 hole last weekend, following up their hugely spirited effort in a last-gap loss to the Chiefs in Kansas City by edging out their AFC South rivals the Houston Texans 19-17 at home thanks to a 43-yard field goal from Spencer Shrader with just 16 seconds left on the clock - his fourth of the day.

It certainly wasn’t the prettiest of wins for Shane Steichen’s side, who were thrashed 41-23 by the Baltimore Ravens on opening weekend, but vital for them to halt a nine-game losing streak that dated back to week 12 of last season.

Quarterback Daniel Jones will be eager to better protect the ball after his series of turnovers against the Texans, who could not take advantage despite holding star running back Jonathan Taylor to only 68 yards on 23 carries as the Colts continue to play without highly-paid wide receiver Alec Pierce, who is currently on injured reserve with a heel issue.
