Yama Wayama’s Onna no Sono no Hoshi Vol. 5 hits No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Book Hot 100 chart released Sept. 17, sweeping brick-and-mortar and e-books.

The latest volume of Wayama’s comedy manga set at an all-girls high school lands in the top 10 across four metrics — No. 1 in brick-and-mortar and e-books, No. 2 in e-commerce (EC) and No. 10 in social media — finishing with more than three times the points of the runner-up.

Debuting at No. 2 is Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku Vol. 24, which received an anime adaptation last year, placing No. 4 in both brick-and-mortar and e-books. Osamu Nishi’s Mairimashita! Iruma-kun Vol. 50 follows at No. 3, led by the brick-and-mortar metric.

The Billboard Japan Book Hot 100 is a comprehensive chart combining physical sales, e-books, library loans, subscription data and social media activity. Below are the top 10 titles on this week’s list, tracking the period from Sept. 7 to 13.
