PUTRAJAYA: Visitors to Pantai Bagan Lalang have been advised to avoid beach activities following reports of a suspected crocodile sighting in the area.

Sepang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Norhizam Bahaman said police received a report yesterday afternoon of an animal believed to be a crocodile spotted near a beach resort.

"For the safety of residents and tourists, police advise the public to refrain from activities along Bagan Lalang beach in Sungai Pelek," he said in a statement today.

Norhizam said police will collaborate with relevant agencies to monitor the situation and take appropriate measures to ensure public safety.
