Rohit Sharma might be 39 years old but he is still pulling off majestic performances on the ground, not just with the bat but also in the field. Widely considered as one of India's finest fielders during his prime, Rohit gave a brilliant example of his fitness as he produced a diving run-out to send Daryl Mitchell packing in the first ODI against New Zealand in Auckland. Collecting the ball in the short mid-wicket region, Rohit threw the ball at the batter's end. The wicket-keeper KL Rahul did the rest.
Rohit's future in the Indian team has often been doubted. While many suggest that his skills with the bat have deteriorated, the biggest question mark over his place in India's ODI World Cup squad has come over his fitness.
However, Rohit hasn't only worked hard to reduce his weight, he is still showing the kind of acrobatics in the field that could put a 25-year-old to shame.
It was Glenn Phillips who looked to take a cheeky single, but a little bit of a hiccup in the middle saw Daryl Mitchell failing to reach the other end of the pitch in time. Here's the video:

As for the match, India's pace troika of Arshdeep Singh, Gurnoor Brar and Anshul Kamboj made the most of the conditions to rip through New Zealand's batting line-up, bowling them out for 185 in 40.2 overs.
Arshdeep (4/70), Gurnoor (3/44) and Anshul (2/22) exploited the overcast conditions and movement off the pitch to keep the New Zealand batters on the back foot throughout their innings. The start of play was delayed by 20 minutes due to rain, but no overs were lost.
Opener Tim Seifert (38) offered some resistance at the top, but New Zealand kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
Glenn Phillips (30 off 51 balls) tried to steady the innings before tailender Blair Tickner launched a counter-attack, smashing four sixes in a blistering 34 off 23 balls to give the Indian bowlers a late scare.
