There is more bad injury news for Udinese, as striker Idrissa Gueye underwent surgery for an ankle fracture and will be out of action for three months.
The Friulani have stuttered so far this season and part of that is down to the number of players on the treatment table.
Nicolò Zaniolo already withdrew from the Italy squad due to a muscular problem, and now Gueye has been ruled out until 2027.
Gueye new blow for Udinese

When playing a friendly match against Pogon Stettino in Poland and scoring the goal, the 20-year-old sustained a serious right ankle injury.
A statement from Udinese confirmed that it required an operation, which was performed at the San Rossore clinic in Pisa by Professor Van Dijk.
The Senegal international will be out of action for at least three months in the recovery process.
A former Metz striker who joined last summer originally on loan for €4m and then purchased for a further €6m, he scored one goal in six competitive games for the Friulani this season.
