Shah Rukh Khan-led King is one of the most-awaited Bollywood films of 2026. It is scheduled for release on December 24th, and, given the strong buzz around it, a thunderous opening at the Indian box office is expected. If all goes well, it could become Khan’s highest-grossing film ever. Even for Siddharth Anand, it comes with an opportunity to surpass Rohit Shetty in Koimoi’s Director Ranking. Keep reading for a detailed report!

What is Koimoi Directors’ Ranking?

Indian directors are judged based on their Hindi/ Bollywood films in the coveted clubs – 100 crores, 200 crores, and so on. So, in the Koimoi Directors’ Ranking, 100 points will be awarded to directors if they have a film in the 100-crore club. Similarly, 200 points for a film in a 200-crore club, etc. For each movie in the top 10 overseas grossers, a filmmaker earns 50 points.

What’s the current status of Siddharth Anand in Koimoi’s Director Ranking?

All thanks to Pathaan‘s entry to the 500 crore club and Fighter‘s entry to the 200 crore club, Siddharth Anand amassed a strong total of 1150 points in Koimoi’s Director Ranking. He has been placed 3rd, below Rohit Shetty (1450 points). Now, with King releasing this year, he’s likely to see a big surge in his points.

How much does King need to earn for Siddharth to beat Rohit Shetty?

If the difference is calculated, Rohit Shetty is ahead by 300 points. So, if King enters the 300 crore club at the Indian box office, Siddharth Anand will overtake Shetty.

With 300 points, Siddharth Anand’s tally will be pushed to 1450 points. Despite a tie, he’ll replace Rohit Shetty in 2nd place because Sid has one 500-crore net grosser in his kitty, while Shetty has none.

Here’s the breakdown of Siddharth’s 1150 points:

  • 1 film in the 100 crore club (Bang Bang) = 100 points
  • 1 film in the 200 crore club (Fighter) = 200 points
  • 1 film in the 300 crore club (War) = 300 points
  • 1 film in the 5000 crore club (Pathaan) = 500 points
  • 1 film in the top 10 overseas grossers of Bollywood (Pathaan) = 50 points
