Napoli interest in Woltemade, Gabriel Jesus and Guiu with Premier League focus

Napoli will only bring in a new striker if Noa Lang is sold, with candidates including Marc Guiu of Chelsea, Newcastle United’s Nick Woltemade, and Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus.
The Partenopei have already managed to release one unwanted player in attack, as Walid Cheddira underwent his medical tests with Serie B side Avellino today for €2.5m plus bonus.
They are hoping to now offload Lang, who spent half of last season on loan at Galatasaray.
Woltemade latest on Napoli list
If he is sold and the hope is to bring in circa €25m from that deal, then Napoli can secure a replacement more suited to coach Max Allegri’s football.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and Fabrizio Romano, Woltemade is the latest name on the list, although it would only be possible if Newcastle United let the German go on loan.
That is quite the ask considering the Magpies paid €75m to buy him from Stuttgart only a year ago, when he had been on the Napoli radar.
If an investment was to be made to purchase a player, then the favourite would be Guiu at Chelsea, but the asking price would have to drop to €15m.
Gabriel Jesus has long been mentioned for Napoli, although here too the costs are considered too high for a player whose Arsenal contract expires at the end of the season.
