Hollyoaks' Ste Hay is finally tracked down – here's what happens next

Hollyoaks' Steve Hay has been in turmoil ever since he was kidnapped by Imran Maalik, but things may finally be looking up for him. Fans first saw a dishevelled-looking Ste locked up for the 64th day by vengeful Imran.

Ste listened to his kidnapper, who disguised his voice over a speaker, tell him that he killed Ella and did not pay for his crimes. Therefore, Imran decided to take matters into his own hands.

Over at the hospital, Ste’s son Lucas received a visit from Cindy, who took photos of Imran’s plans for Ste and where he was holding him.

As their conversation continued, they were overheard by Sienna, Ste’s best friend, who demanded to know where Ste was and who was behind his kidnapping.

Cindy showed her pictures of the building plans, and when Sienna thought she knew where it was, she immediately set off to find her friend.

As the pair approached the building, they spotted Harper, who is working for Imran, entering where they thought Ste may be held and followed her inside.

Sienna and Cindy confronted Harper and demanded she give them the keys to the rooms, and she obliged.

As they entered they saw Ste, who was surviving on just basic provisions, looking worse for wear and pleaded with him to leave with them, but it was not that straightforward.

Sienna and Cindy initially struggled to get through to Ste, who claimed he “deserved to be here” and began to believe all the damaging things Imran was saying about him.

But nobody knows Ste more than his best friend Sienna, who reassured him that she was by his side. Furthermore, Cindy forgave him for killing her niece.

“I’m not leaving without you,” Sienna said. After seeing some familiar faces who offered some comforting words, Ste burst into tears and hugged Sienna, indicating that he will return to Hollyoaks village with her.

Images showed what will happen in the following episode when Ste is reunited with his sister Leela and friend Tony, who are delighted to see him after a long period.

Monday's episode ended in explosive fashion when Lucas tracked down Imran after leaving hospital, resulting in a brawl between the pair.

Lucas’ sister found the pair fighting and in a bid to stop the scuffle, she yelled “stop!”, before picking up a hard object and throwing it.

It appears to have struck either Lucas or Imran, judging by Leah’s stunned expression, before the credits rolled. What will happen next?

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
