Man faces court charged with assault after three Jewish women attacked in Stamford Hill

A man has been charged after three Jewish women were assaulted in Stamford Hill on Monday.
Abdisamad Siad, 33, of Pilgrims Way in Islington, has been charged with three counts of assault by beating and will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
CCTV posted online by Jewish security group Shomrim shows a man running up to a woman before pausing briefly and then punching her twice.
The group said on Twitter that it had already been called because another “visibly Jewish” woman had reported being punched in the face on Clapton Common on Monday.
The Met was called at around 1.40pm on Monday following the reported assaults.

The victims suffered minor injuries.
The Met said it has been increasing its presence in the local area following the assaults and is making efforts to engage with Jewish community leaders to provide further reassurance.
Siad has also been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent over an unrelated attack on a woman who is believed to be known to him in the Islington area on October 16.
Anyone with information about the incidents in Clapton Common that could assist police is asked to call 101, quoting reference 3400/19OCT, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
