Sami Zayn stood on the ring apron and did nothing while The 946 beat down Jimmy Uso on WWE SmackDown. The Undisputed WWE Champion just watched as the faction took turns on his former Bloodline ally, and then it was over and they walked away. It all followed a heated exchange between the two men, with Uso questioning the champion's decision to attack Roman Reigns on RAW. Jimmy figured Zayn would stand with his old family against their common enemies, but the champion had other things on his mind heading into Crown Jewel.

Sami Zayn Refuses to Stand With Jimmy Uso After Their Heated Exchange Over Roman Reigns and The Bloodline

Zayn opened the segment by talking about his spot at the top of WWE. Being overlooked wasn't an option anymore, he made clear, especially after his recent run as Undisputed WWE Champion.

Then Jimmy Uso cut in, and he didn't want to sit through another championship speech. He questioned Zayn's loyalty, mostly because of the attack on Roman Reigns on RAW, and he also pointed out that The Bloodline was in the middle of a war with The 946.

Zayn answered that he had his own responsibilities to deal with. He also reminded Jimmy that he was the one who helped make him an Honorary Uce, while Jimmy had earlier played a part in pushing him out of the faction.

Jimmy wasn't buying it. Zayn had made things personal with Roman, he said, and he warned him about what waited at Crown Jewel.

Zayn seemed more than ready for that, though. He wanted Reigns to bring his best version to their upcoming showdown in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The 946 Surround Jimmy Uso and Sami Zayn Walks Away Without Making a Move to Help Him

Things turned ugly when The 946 showed up out of nowhere and surrounded the ring. Jimmy was outnumbered fast, and members of the faction went after him.

Zayn was still close by on the apron. The former Honorary Uce had clear opportunity to get involved, but he stayed out of it.

So Jimmy had to handle the whole group alone. The 946 kept up their assault, with Royce Keys leading attack, and Zayn eventually walked off and left his former ally behind.

The segment also brought back questions about Zayn and The Bloodline. He spent a lot of time next to Roman Reigns and the group before their fallout, and he reconciled with the faction in 2024, which makes leaving Jimmy there pretty striking.

During the confrontation, Jimmy's question to Zayn was simple: “What happened to you?” The champion had no answer that changed his decision.

Crown Jewel is where Zayn is scheduled to face Reigns, and The 946's attack landed right before it.
