Dungeon Crawler Carl: Allies & Enemies Officially Releases Next Month

Dungeon Crawler Carl fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming months. After Matt Dinniman's recently released new teaser chapters for Book 9, which has the current working title The Beautiful Place, hype for the final two-volume conclusion is at an all-time high. Fortunately, despite Book 9's release likely being a ways off still, the DCC franchise is getting multiple new projects before the year is out.

Aside from the upcoming new Deluxe Edition of the first Dungeon Crawler Carl book, which drops on November 17, the highly anticipated Dungeon Crawler Carl roleplaying game and Unstoppable deck-building game are both finally set to hit retail in November as well. In addition to these exciting new launches, some of Dungeon Crawler Carl's most iconic side characters are getting the spotlight in the upcoming release of Allies & Enemies, arriving November 23 (via Wayland).

As part of the Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG's massive collection of associated merch, the new Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG: Allies & Enemies Miniatures expansion set also arrives alongside the retail release next month.

Renegade Game Studios is releasing this new miniatures collection alongside the full RPG, featuring 10 highly detailed, prepainted figures representing some of the most recognizable characters from Matt Dinniman's bestselling LitRPG series. While Carl, Princess Donut, and their closest companions are available in The Royal Court miniatures expansion set, this second miniature set brings together a variety of the World Dungeon's most famous allies, rivals, and enemies (hence the name) encountered across each floor.

The figures can be used during tabletop RPG campaigns for a range of different encounters, although they also make excellent collectibles for longtime fans who simply want physical statues of their favorite characters. Each mini comes individually packaged and is designed around the standard 28–32mm tabletop scale, making the figures compatible with other tabletop RPGs and miniatures games as well.

There are some particularly exciting inclusions here, with Prepotente, affectionately known as Pony, the brilliant but notoriously temperamental goat-turned-crawler whose unusual abilities and unforgettable personality have made him a fan favorite. His companion Bianca also gets her own miniature, making this an especially appealing set for fans of the later books in the series.

Hekla is another standout, having led the formidable Brynhild's Daughters with her incredibly powerful enchanted repeating crossbow. She's also featured alongside Eva, which is a great shout given the complicated history of their group and the unfortunate turn of events in the Iron Tangle between Carl, Donut, and Katia Grim.

Meanwhile, the famous "cheater" (as Donut puts it), Quan Ch, makes a return with his powerful celestial-tier equipment, while Lucia Mar is included as two separate figures, with both a day and night variant to represent her unique class.

The Allies & Enemies collection was included in the original Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG + Unstoppable crowdfunding campaign on BackerKit as part of the $399 Legendary RPG Loot Box and the $490 Celestial Games Loot Box, while backers could also select the miniatures separately as a $65 add-on. Fortunately, if you missed the crowdfunding campaign, the set will be arriving to retail in roughly one month's time.

Renegade Game Studios currently lists the set for preorder at $65, while retailers including Wayland Games are accepting advance orders ahead of November 23, 2026. That date is also listed by several other retailers as the expected release date, although Renegade itself currently confirms only a November 2026 launch window.

As such, November 23 is best treated as the anticipated retail release, not necessarily a guaranteed delivery date. Either way, the set should give Dungeon Crawler Carl fans another exciting way to celebrate the franchise's expansion into tabletop gaming, and will keep fans busy as they wait for the final books in the series to arrive.
