KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 19 — Just a day after her Konsert Tradisional Gema Bumantara at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on October 17, 2026, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza took to the stage once again, this time at the wedding reception of Muar MP Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman and singer-actress Bella Astillah.
The singer delivered a special performance at the reception, held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec), in front of 3,000 guests, including celebrities and members of royal families.
Siti performed her classic hit Bukan Cinta Biasa at the request of the newlyweds, she revealed in a video posted on Astro Awani’s Instagram account.
She said the song’s message resonates with many people, allowing listeners to relate it’s lyrics to their own experiences of love.
“If we listen to the lyrics, it is about a love that is not ordinary.
“Experiences like this in a relationship can be very challenging,” she said.
Siti added that she knew both Bella and Syed Saddiq personally and spoke positively of their characters.
“Yes, Alhamdulillah, having known both Bella and Syed Saddiq, they are both public figures.
“I know Bella, and I also know Syed Saddiq.
“Both have very positive and good personalities.
“So, as their friend and an older sister to both newlyweds, we want to celebrate their special day,” she said, adding that it’s the same for other artistes in attendance wanting to celebrate the couple’s love.

As an ambassador for Cuckoo Malaysia, Siti also presented the newlyweds with several gifts from the brand, including a mattress, an air purifier, a water purifier, two Cuckoo mascots and a massage chair.
The gifts included everyday household items intended to support the couple as they begin their new life together as husband and wife.
Drawing on her own experience of married life, Siti offered the couple her heartfelt wishes and advice for their future together.
“Having experienced married life myself, I pray that Bella and Syed Saddiq will continue nurturing their love for one another forever, and that their happiness will carry them all the way to paradise,” she said.
“Looking at them now, they seem to understand each other well.
“Another important thing about marriage is that we must accept both our partner’s strengths and weaknesses with an open heart and help make up for each other’s shortcomings.
“That is the most important thing.
“Insya-Allah, I think Bella and Syed Saddiq have lovely personalities.
“Whatever it is, we pray for them and ask Allah to bless their marriage,” she concluded.
Bukan Cinta Biasa has received several awards, including Choice Music Video at Anugerah Era 2003, Most Popular Song at Anugerah Planet Muzik 2004, and Best Musical Arrangement in a Song at Anugerah Industri Muzik 2004.
More than two decades after its 2003 debut, the song was performed once again at what many Malaysians have dubbed the “wedding of the year,” celebrating the marriage of Syed Saddiq and Bella Astillah.
