PDP Anambra South unveils campaign

The Peoples’ Democratic Party has flagged off an energetic road walk in solidarity for its candidate in the Anambra South Senatorial election, Samben Nwosu.

The exercise, held at the Jideofor Hotel, Nnewi, over the weekend, had in attendance the leadership of the party across the state.

Among the leadership of party present were the Deputy National Legal Adviser, Chinemelum Ubah, the party State Chairman, Casmir Ajulu, the State Secretary of the party, Sir Sunny Umenne, the party Vice Chairman and Anambra South Chairman, Victor Uba, among others.

The PDP State Chairman, Ajulu, expressed confidence in the leadership of the party to deliver the party’s candidates in the 2027 general elections.

He said, “Since the All Progressives Grand Alliance, the ruling party in Anambra, did not win any seat in the National Assembly during the 2023 general elections, they would not defeat PDP.

“APGA managed to win the last bye-election after the demise of late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, but we will win against them come 2027.”

Also speaking, Chinemelum Ubah asked the party’s seven local government chairmen and the ward executives in the Anambra South Senatorial district to go to their various wards and share the good news, which is delivering victory for Prince Samben Nwosu,the party’s Senatorial Candidate in the 2027 general elections.

“Vote, defend your vote, we will do the rest, which is to  monitor it to the last” he added.

The Chairman Anambra South Senatorial District, Uba, said Anambra South is fully prepared to deliver the district for Nwosu.

Nwosu expressed his joy for the support of his party, noting that the movement has proven that PDP is alive, stressing it needed someone that who is ready to take the party to greater height.

He said, “I am contesting not with bag of rice or envelope. Trust is more than money. When people vote competence, quality, the issue of a candidate not delivering will be a thing of the past.”

The event witnessed official handover of the PDP flag to Nwosu.
