Alabama defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick Jr. is facing misdemeanor charges related to allegedly threatening communications with a police officer involved in his arrest in 2025.

Kirkpatrick, who was suspended prior to last Saturday's game vs. Texas A&M, was arrested again on Friday on charges of doxing and harassing communications, according to reports.

The veteran defensive back allegedly sent the officer a profanity-laced message that included, "text me back don't be no (expletive)!," according to documents obtained by WBRC and The Tuscaloosa Thread. Kirkpatrick allegedly posted a photo of the officer and his family to his Facebook page with the caption, "Dis him?"

Kirkpatrick was arrested last year on three counts of reckless endangerment, attempting to elude and speeding. He was suspended in October and did not play for the rest of the season.

Kirkpatrick, who rejoined the team in the spring, is facing an additional misdemeanor charge from June for leaving the scene of an accident.

The son of former Alabama and NFL cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick Sr., he is the Crimson Tide's second-string inside cornerback. He appeared in every game before last Saturday and has four tackles on the season.

Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer told reporters on Monday that Kirkpatrick is "not with us."

"We have an expectation and standard in our program, and the team rules, and things that go along with that," DeBoer said. "There's still some details that I'm trying to understand, but it's enough to where we know that's not how we operate."
