AFCON 2027Q: Madagascar Name Squad For Super Eagles Showdown
Madagascar head coach Corentin Martins has named a 25-man squad for the team’s upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Tanzania’s Taifa Stars.
Martins trimmed the squad from an initial 55-man provisional list, with the final selection dominated by foreign-based professionals.
A few players from the Malagasy domestic league also made the cut.

The Barea will begin their qualifying campaign away to the Super Eagles in a Matchday One encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, 25 September.
Four days later, Madagascar will host Tanzania’s Taifa Stars in their second qualifying fixture.
The team is expected to open camp this weekend ahead of the two crucial matches.
