Prime Video has revealed when fans can expect The Assassin season 2 to land, while also dropping a first-look trailer.

The second season of the hit thriller, which is created and written by Harry and Jack Williams, is set to launch in full on 6 November on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland.

The main cast is set to return for season 2, with Keeley Hawes (Bodyguard) reprising her role as Julie, the former assassin who reconnected with her investigative journalist son Edward (Freddie Highmore) in season 1, with the pair soon teaming up to fight off a wave of killers tied to her past.

Season 2 picks up with the pair estranged again, but when Edward’s honeymoon doesn’t go quite to plan, he’s forced to reunite with Julie to take on a new beast: the Spanish criminal underworld.

The new trailer gives viewers a first look at the mother and son as they tackle this new challenge.
