Fantasy Premier League tips GW6: FPL transfers you should make – including Real Madrid import

Translate

The Premier League returns after a lengthy hiatus and with it your responsibilities as a Fantasy Premier League manager.

The three-week international break has felt like an age, but it's finally time to lock back in for another FPL weekend – and there are some big decisions to make.

Teams across the Premier League have been hit by injuries, while the lack of fixtures may well have acted as something of a circuit breaker and interrupted sides' momentum, both for good and bad.

As a result, deciding whether to stick with players or twist is harder than ever. Luckily, that's where our tips come in!

Radio Times brings you our top FPL tips for GW6 in 2026/27.

DEF: Jarrad Branthwaite (EVE, £5.5m, 2.5 per cent)

Everton kept three clean sheets in a row in all competitions ahead of the international break and are due to face Hull, Coventry and Newcastle in three of their next five games, so there could well be more to come.

Back to full fitness, Jarrad Branthwaite has been a defensive contributions beast this term – hitting double digits in three of his five appearances – and is a set piece threat too.

MID: Marcus Tavernier (BOU, £6.1m, 6.9 per cent)

No team has conceded more Premier League goals this season than Chelsea and Marcus Tavernier looks well placed to take advantage of the Blues' leaky backline.

He's found the net three times already and has created plenty of chances without yet returning an assist. Alex Scott's injury is cause for concern but there is still plenty of upside to adding Tavernier to your midfield.

FOR: Gonzalo García (FUL, £6m, 4.4 per cent)

A cost-effective forward is FPL gold dust. Someone who can slot in alongside your big names, without taking up much of your budget, and contribute more than expected.

Fulham striker Gonzalo García, who is on loan from Real Madrid, could prove a shrewd pick-up. The Spaniard has only scored once so far but continues to take up dangerous positions, is on penalties and has a kind run of fixtures coming up – with Ipswich, Hull, Coventry, Aston Villa and Newcastle his next five opponents.
