Couple ambushed in Maguindanao, wife slain, husband hurt

COTABATO CITY, BARMM, Philippines — Unidentified gunmen riding tandem on a motorbike ambushed a couple along a bridge in Pagalungan town, Maguindanao del Sur, killing the wife and seriously wounding the husband, police said.
Capt. Steffi Salanguit, speaking for police in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), identified the fatality as Colie Mar Fuscablo Saguta-o and her wounded husband, Orlan Turga Saguta-on, both farmers of Barangay Amas, Kidapawan City.
Salanguit said the victims were on board a red Suzuki multicab vehicle heading for Pikit, Cotabato from Kidapawan City when ambushed at about 10:55 a.m. Friday, August 21, while cruising the Pagalungan bridge.
