Translate

KwaZulu-Natal giants Durban City have been placed in Group B alongside Moroccan giants AS FAR, Tanzania’s Azam FC and Al Ahly Tripoli of Libya.

The draw was held live from Cairo, Egypt on Wednesday. Kaizer Chiefs missed out on the event after losing their second round qualifier against Red Arrows.

Durban City TO TRAVEL TWICE TO NORTH AFRICA

Eric Tinkler’s side face two trips to the tip of the continent to face AS FAR in Morocco and Tripoli in Libya. The third trip to Azam will be a much shorter mission.

The six-match schedule with home and away matches will see the top two teams from each group progress into the quarter-finals.

CAF further confirmed the group-stage action kicks-off between 27 and 29 November 2026, with the second round of matches scheduled for 4–6 December.

Matchday three will comes around between 18 and 20 December before the competition resumes in January, with fixtures scheduled for 8–10 January, 15–17 January and 22–24 January 2027.

This year’s edition features a few strong favourites for the title. They are Egyptian giants Al Ahly, and the Moroccan duo Raja Casablanca and AS FAR.
