Hollyoaks' Caleb Keane makes major life change in sinister hospital twist

Hollyoaks spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on E4 and stream on Channel 4.
Hollyoaks' Caleb Keane has made a major life decision in the latest episode, as dad Jonah continued to manipulate those around him in an incredibly dangerous way.
Earlier this week, Caleb and girlfriend Frankie Osborne announced their plans to go travelling together. Jonah was adamant that it was a bad idea, given that the youngster had recently become disabled due to an accident.

Wife Beth thought the same, heading over to the Osborne household as the start of tonight's episode to share her worries with Darren and Nancy: had the couple checked that everything would be wheelchair accessible? Would their travel insurance cover everything? Had they booked everything with a specialist provider?
Her words got through to Darren and Nancy, who organised a family lunch with the Keanes and their kids to go through the practicalities.
Frankie wasn't impressed, though. "Do you not think we've thought about all this stuff?" she hit back.
"This isn't protecting us, it's making us feel inadequate. Like we can't cope," Caleb added. "When in reality, me and Frankie have probably been through more than the four of you combined."

Realising that Caleb's mind wouldn't be changed, Jonah secretly resorted to his sinister plan and spiked his son's drink.
At dinner, Caleb started to lose consciousness and was soon taken home, where Jonah faked the result of a thermometer test and suggested he go to hospital. Misbah Maalik checked him over and stated that there was "nothing to suggest Caleb is critically unwell" and asked Jonah to tone down his catastrophising so as to not worry the teenager.
However, Jonah's plan to spook his son worked. The episode ended with Caleb admitting that he was too afraid to go travelling.
This soap is using this storyline to explore Factitious Disorder Imposed on Another (FDIA), also known as Munchausen by proxy, which is where a person will make someone else unwell (or at least appear to be) to keep them under their thumb.
With Misbah confused by Caleb's condition against Jonah's description, how much further will the twisted father push things?
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
