GWAR have announced a new split album with John Brennan and the Bigfeet, titled GWAR and the Last Drive-In-Stein.

Ahead of the album’s November 13th release, GWAR have unveiled a video for the song “Splatter Fu,” written specifically for the band by John Brennan.

“Splatter Fu” is a simpler mid-tempo punk metal rocker, featuring the very GWAR refrain of “kill, kill, kill.”

Side A of the album is GWAR’s live performance for The Last Drive-In’s 2025 Halloween special, and Side B features John Brennan and the Bigfeet, The Last Drive-In’s house band, performing songs written for the show’s final two seasons.

GWAR and the Last Drive-In-Stein celebrates the 40th anniversaries of both GWAR and the horror movie host Joe Bob Briggs’ historic career, debuting with Joe Bob’s Drive-In Theater in 1986 for The Movie Channel and, more recently, The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs for Shudder.

GWAR front-thing Blothar the Berserker stated, “Lordy Lordy, look who’s 40! GWAR and Joe Bob Briggs. A match made in hell! I love horror movies, trash, and funny spooky stuff. GWAR wouldn’t exist without it. I was just a calf when creepy Joe Bob reached up my poodle skirt at the Last Drive-in. He promised he’d make me a star… Now we’ve made a record together!”

Joe Bob Briggs added, “To create the real spirit of Halloween, I called up my buddies – the intergalactic warriors who live in Antarctica – and I asked them to bring some fear, some filth, and some fun. Of course you know whom I’m talkin’ about… the Scumdogs of the Universe… GWAR!”

Pre-orders for GWAR and the Last Drive-In-Stein are available here.

Meanwhile, GWAR are set to kick off a fall North American tour with support from Midnight, Mac Sabbath, X-COPS, and Atomic Rule. Get tickets here.
