According to a report by TeluguNow, Bhansali met Mahesh Babu to allegedly discuss a story idea. As per the report, this is not the first time that the Bollywood director has been rumoured to be in talks with South superstars.Bhansali was previously linked with discussions involving Allu Arjun, Jr NTR and

. His reported meeting with Mahesh Babu has now added to speculation that he could be exploring a project in the Telugu film industry.

As per the latest buzz, this film will be in line with Bhansali's period dramas, but will be positioned as a pan-India film.However, with Mahesh Babu's film slate, it would be hard to determine the timeline for any such collaboration. The actor is currently working on SS Rajamouli's much-anticipated film 'Varanasi', which is slated for an April 2027 release.
