Music executive and artist manager Simonne Solitro launched MAD CREATIVE, an independent management and creative company. With her, she brings her longtime client Tinashe ahead of the release of her upcoming album, Popstar.

“The new venture brings Simonne’s experience across artist management, development and creative strategy under one roof with a focus on building lasting careers, meaningful creative partnerships and ideas that extend beyond traditional management,” a press release reads. — Chris Eggertsen

Ty Roberts was named chief commercial officer of MusiMap. Roberts co-founded Gracenote and previously served as Universal Music Group’s chief technology officer.

“From my first introduction to MusiMap, I was immediately impressed by the depth of versatility of its technology as well as its ability to understand music through emotion, context and cultural meaning,” Roberts said in a statement. “MusiMap has the potential to become an important intelligence layer for any business that uses music to engage audiences, from helping brands identify music that will resonate with potential customers, to enabling music companies and platforms to search, organize and recommend vast catalogs with greater precision.”

  • Daria Stachera (Mom+Pop Music)

    Mom+Pop Music hired Daria Stachera as vp of digital marketing. In her new role, Stachera will be tasked with building and leading a new digital team and managing key releases. She will additionally lead strategy around social media and audience engagement, carry out digital marketing initiatives and grow Mom+Pop’s digital footprint. She’ll report directly to Mom+Pop founder Michael Goldstone out of the company’s New York office.

    Stachera comes to Mom+Pop from Republic Records, where she worked in digital marketing and oversaw campaigns for acts including Five Seconds of Summer, Nick Jonas and Haiden Henderson. Before that, she worked at RCA for three years. — Chris Eggertsen

  • Maxie Gedge (ROAM)

    Maxie Gedge has joined ROAM in the booking agency’s newly created role of head of artist delivery. She comes from Secretly Group, where she served as European project manager working campaigns for Mitski and Phoebe Bridges.

    “As we grow as a business, it’s essential that the level of service artists receive from ROAM never dilutes,” Olivia-jane Ransley, director of operations at ROAM, said in a statement. “This role puts real ownership and structure behind that commitment, and we’re delighted to have Maxie’s experience and expertise onboard — she brings exactly the care and instinct for artists that this team is built on.”

  • Mason Hunter (BMI)

    Mason Hunter has been promoted to vp of creative, partnerships and events at BMI, the company announced. He will continue to work with BMI’s vp of creative, Clay Bradley.

    “Mason’s leadership, creativity and deep understanding of BMI’s mission have been instrumental in strengthening our brand partnerships and expanding the opportunities they create for BMI and our affiliates across major festivals and events nationwide,” Mike Steinberg, executive vp and chief revenue and creative officer at BMI, said in a statement. “He has a proven ability to build meaningful relationships across the music and business communities, turning strategic collaborations into new revenue streams, greater brand awareness and valuable experiences for BMI’s creative community.   • Yamaha Promotes Four to General Manager

    Yamaha has promoted four to general manager, including Amy Sorter, who will lead the piano division; Reed Larimore, who will lead the guitar vision; Doug Steinmetz; who will lead the band and orchestral division; and Gary Glugman, who will lead the digital music instruments division. The new general managers will report to Garth Gilman, who has been appointed as corporate vp of the music instrument business unit, effective Nov. 2.

    “I am very excited to have seasoned industry veterans leading these essential business areas for Yamaha,” Gilman said in a statement. “Their expertise will enhance the customer and dealer experience and create new opportunities for growth through a more product-focused approach.
