Next Kaizer Chiefs match after the FIFA international break

Kaizer Chiefs’ next fixture is currently set for Saturday, 17 October 2026, with kick-off scheduled for 15:30. However, the date could still change because of Kaizer Chiefs’ CAF Confederation Cup commitments.

KAIZER CHIEFS SET FOR STELLENBOSCH CLASH

The Stellenbosch FC fixture is set to be Matchday 8 of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership campaign.

Kaizer Chiefs have made an unbeaten start to the league season under Fernando Da Cruz, collecting 13 points from their opening seven matches. Amakhosi have recorded three victories and four draws so far, scoring 12 goals in the process.

Their league campaign began with a convincing 3–1 victory over Kruger United. It was followed with a 2–0 win against Sekhukhune United.

Kaizer Chiefs then produced another entertaining performance against Siwelele FC, winning 3–2 at Dobsonville Stadium.

The only defeat of their campaign so far came in the MTN8, where Lamontville Golden Arrows eliminated them with a narrow 1–0 victory. Despite remaining unbeaten in the league, Kaizer Chiefs will want to turn more of their recent draws into victories.

CAF COMMITMENTS COULD CHANGE DATE

Kaizer Chiefs have drawn four of their last five Betway Premiership matches.

Those results include a 1–1 draw against defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns, a 2–2 draw with Richards Bay, a 1–1 draw away to Polokwane City, and most recently, a 0–0 draw against Lamontville Golden Arrows.

The run has kept Kaizer Chiefs unbeaten, but it has also allowed Sundowns to build a seven-point advantage at the top of the league table.

The Stellenbosch FC match therefore presents another opportunity for Da Cruz’s team to collect three points and maintain pressure near the top of the standings.

There is, however, an important scheduling issue surrounding the fixture. Kaizer Chiefs are also expected to be involved in the CAF Confederation Cup second qualifying round against Zambia’s Red Arrows FC during the same weekend.

That continental commitment creates a potential clash with the currently scheduled Stellenbosch FC fixture.

As a result, the PSL could move the Betway Premiership match to an earlier date. Tuesday, 13 October 2026 has emerged as a possible alternative date, although the final schedule still needs to be confirmed.

For now, supporters should mark 17 October at 15:30 in their calendars. They will be keeping an eye on an official announcement regarding any change.
