Translate

MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon and the easterlies will continue to bring isolated rains over parts of the country on Saturday, Nov. 7, the state weather said.

In its 4 p.m. weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported that the northeast monsoon, or amihan, will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Northern Luzon, particularly in Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Aurora.

“At para po sa ating forecast, magpapatuloy pa rin na makaka impluwensya sa atin itong hanging amihan at bukas ay mas lalakas pa po ito,” Pagasa weather specialist John Manalo said.

It will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.Pagasa warned that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

“Sa ating analysis, ay unti-unting nadadagdagan yung chance na pumasok ito ng Philippine area of responsibility dahil sa nakakaimpluwensya sa kanya na high pressure area,” Manalo said.

(“Based on our analysis, the likelihood of it entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility is gradually increasing, due to the influence of a high-pressure area.”)

He added that the weather disturbance may reach typhoon category.

“Hindi naman po natin itong nakikita na makakaapekto directly sa anumang parte ng ating bansa,” he reported.
