‘Top Billing’ presenter search: Who are the Top 10 finalists?

Top Billing has revealed the top 10 finalists who will be competing for a shot at joining the popular SABC3 show as a presenter.

WHO WILL BE THE NEXT TOP BILLING PRESENTER?

The Top 10 finalists were chosen from 40 applications ranging from broadcasters, actors, journalists, creatives, athletes and more. The chosen presenter will join legacy presenters Basetsana Kumalo, Michael Mol, Jonathan Boynton-Lee, Fezile Mkhize, Ryle De Morny and new presenters Zozibini Tunzi, Bryoni Govender, Arno Greef and Sine Mpulu.

The 10 finalists will take part in live Expresso takeovers on Tuesday 29 September and Thursday 1 October. The top five will then be revealed on Top Billing on Thursday 8 October, giving the eventual winner a chance to gain real TV experience alongside industry professionals.

MEET THE TOP 10 FINALISTS

Talitha Bothma is a human capital and brand strategist, speaker, storyteller, and founder of Worth in Motion, with more than a decade of experience across tech, fashion, media and business in Africa.

Nasi Hako is a multimedia journalist, content producer, voice-over artist and actress whose career spans energy journalism, freelance media, TV and film, with credits including work for Showmax, Netflix and Cartoon Network. Take a look at Nasi here.

Timothe Muteba is an MC, public speaker and model with nearly eight years of public speaking experience, focused on communication and audience connection.

Ross Marshall is an actor, presenter, model, creative director and youth mentor with experience in TV, commercials, live productions and hosting. He also founded Fortified ZA, a youth initiative helping young people build identity and confidence.

Homba Mazaleni is a presenter, content creator and sports scientist with qualifications in Human Movement Science, Sport Science and Biokinetics. She was a top-five finalist in Miss South Africa 2023 and has a social media following of more than 200,000, with interests in sport, travel, fitness and sports broadcasting.

Shaun Farrell is a chartered accountant, endurance athlete and adventurer from Pretoria. He appeared on Tropika Island of Treasure and finished in the top three of the 2026 Men’s Health Cover Guy competition. He’s spoken about overcoming childhood stuttering to build confidence on camera.

Disego Mogale is a Polokwane-based storyteller whose career has touched mathematics, technology, community work, art and consulting. She’s now pursuing presenting, with a focus on culture, creativity and personal-experience stories.

Karen Mthethwa is a radio broadcaster linked to a Gauteng youth station, now branching into television after building experience in radio and live presenting.

Nehemiah Tjatji is a TV presenter, creative producer, director and storyteller with experience acting, presenting, and producing reality and entertainment shows both in front of and behind the camera.

Candice Weber is a presenter, actress, voice artist and MC with over a decade in local and international entertainment, focused on lifestyle, fashion, wellness and local talent. She previously entered the competition the year Jonathan Boynton-Lee won, and has returned for another shot in 2026.
