Amanda Seyfried Splits From Thomas Sadoski After Nearly 10 Years of Marriage

Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski are breaking up after nearly ten years of marriage.

In a joint statement shared with People, the pair said, “We have been separated for a while, and it’s proven to be the right move for us and our family unit. We’ve got each other forever — and it’s GOOD.”

The Hollywood Reporter also went out to Seyfried’s rep for comment.

Seyfried and Sadoski, both actors, initially met while starring together in the off-Broadway play The Way We Get By in 2015. They reunited on the set of 2017’s The Last Word, which saw them play love interests Anne and Robin, respectively.

After dating for a few years and getting engaged in 2016, they tied the knot the following year. “We eloped. We just took off into the country with an officiant and, just the two of us, and we did our thing,” Sadoski reportedly revealed on The Late Late Show With James Corden in 2017. “It was beautiful. It was everything that it should be. It was just the two of us talking to each other.”

Seyfried and Sadoski welcomed their first child, daughter Nina, a few days after their wedding, and then welcomed their second child, son Thomas Jr., in September 2020.

Throughout their relationship, they typically remained private when it came to their family life, with Seyfried occasionally sharing peeks on social media of their life on a farm in upstate New York.

Earlier this year, during an interview with Vogue, Seyfried said Sadoski “sacrifices a lot for me” amid a busy moment in her career with recent roles in The Testament of Ann Lee, The Housemaid and Long Bright River, among others.

She added at the time, “He also knows that, in this moment, the opportunities I’m being afforded are insane. … I do say no a lot.”
