Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc Anime Reveals More Cast, October 2 Debut
REMOW revealed on Saturday more cast and the October 2 debut for the Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc television anime based on Yura Urushibara's Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise manga. REMOW also revealed a new visual and a new promotional video.

REMOW also revealed the anime's theme songs. Hiromitsu Kitayama performs the opening theme song "Backlash," and TRACK15 performs the ending theme song "Hand in Hand."

Two special recap episodes will air on September 30 for the Kyoto arc and on October 1 for the Nerima arc before the new anime's October 2 debut. The anime will debut on streaming services outside Japan on October 2 at 25:00 JST (effectively October 3 at 1:00 a.m.). REMOW describes the new arc:
Having survived the fierce battles in Kyoto and Nerima, Shiki and his fellow students at Rasetsu Academy are steadily growing stronger. But Yaoroshi rejects Mudano's lessons on the importance of friendship. Drawn to Oni Brigade General Hayate Todoroki's call for “the total eradication of the Momotaro,” he leaves the academy.
When Shiki realizes that the Oni Brigade's creed makes even noncombatants targets for slaughter, he sets out after Yaoroshi with Mudano and the other students.
Their destination is Nikko, where Kegon Falls stopped flowing some time ago, and a massive research facility has since been built. Within its walls, horrific experiments are underway...

The Tougen Anki anime debuted in July 2025. The "Nerima Arc" began in October 2025.

The anime also has a mini companion anime titled Onimomomomo. The staff released the episodes weekly alongside the main episodes.
Ato Nonaka is directing the anime at Studio Hibari. Hiroyuki Hashimoto is the assistant director. Yukie Sugawara (The Idolm@ster SideM, No Guns Life, The Unwanted Undead Adventurer) is writing and supervising the anime's scripts. Ryoko Amisaki (Kino's Journey - The Beautiful World) is designing the characters. Hiroyuki Becchaku is the art designer, while Scott MacDonald is directing the art. Saki Tada is the color key artist. Naoki Serizawa is the compositing director of photography. Ryota Fukushima is directing the CG. Yumika Okazaki is editing. Satoki Iida is directing the sound, and Kohta Yamamoto is composing the music. Pony Canyon is credited for the music production.
Urushibara launched the manga in Akita Publishing's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine in June 2020. The 30th compiled book volume shipped on July 8. Yen Press began publishing the manga in English in September 2024. It shipped the fifth volume on May 26.
The manga previously inspired a stage play that ran Tokyo and Osaka in February 2024, and a sequel stage play ran in January 2025.
