Egyptian, US FMs discuss strategic ties, regional issues in New York
Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, on the sidelines of the high-level segment of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The meeting underscored the importance of the strategic relations between Egypt and the United States and the need to broaden and deepen them, as well as intensify coordination and consultations on issues of common interest in a manner that serves the two countries’ shared interests.
The talks also covered a number of regional issues, including the situation in Sudan.
