BMF says organising teams ready for Bahrain F1 Grand Prix at Sepang

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 28 — The Bahrain Motor Federation’s (BMF) organising teams are fully prepared for the Formula 1 (F1) Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit from Oct 2 to 4, with final operational arrangements and coordination under way.

BMF General Manager Abdulaziz Al Thawadi said all members of the Bahraini delegation were in place to carry out their respective duties during the race.

“BMF is committed to providing all available resources to ensure the highest level of preparedness ahead of the major international event.

“All teams are fully prepared to carry out their duties and responsibilities during the race,” he said during a video conference with the heads of the organising teams in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

Al Thawadi also urged the delegation to continue working as one team to showcase Bahraini expertise and its ability to contribute to the organisation of major international sporting events.

The meeting, also attended by BMF President and Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa, reviewed the teams’ operational plans and coordination for the race.

Shaikh Abdulla commended the BMF team’s preparations and expressed pride in Bahrain’s youth for representing the Kingdom and showcasing the capabilities of its national talent at international sporting events. — Bernama
