HPG chief Police Brigadier General Joyce Patrick Sangalang said 761 HPG personnel will be deployed nationwide to help manage traffic, secure highways, and assist motorists during the occasion.
They will be supported by 586 force multipliers.

“This time, all admin personnel of the Highway Patrol Group will be also deployed outside. Dahil full alert po, we have 100% attendance,” he added.
To avoid theft, the HPG advised motorists to park in well-lit and secure areas, lock their vehicle doors and windows, and never leave keys inside their cars or motorcycles.
They were also encouraged to use anti-theft devices such as steering-wheel locks, motorcycle handlebar locks, alarms, and GPS trackers.
Drivers should keep cash, mobile phones, gadgets, and other valuables out of sight and remain alert to suspicious activity.
Before traveling, motorists should check their vehicles' batteries, lights, brakes, tires, engines, and fuel supply to avoid accidents.
They should also ensure they are fit to drive and avoid driving while sleepy, intoxicated, or under the influence of prohibited drugs.

Most of these cases were due to overspeeding with 37,000 incidents. Other top causes of accidents were overtaking, self-accidents, drunk driving, cellphone use while driving, and mechanical factors.
Motorcycles accounted for the largest number of vehicles involved in road crashes with 57,700 incidents.
