Beyond Meat (BYND) stormed into the energy drink market on Thursday with the introduction of Beyond Immerse Protein + Energy, a sparkling beverage combining plant protein, fiber, antioxidants, electrolytes, and caffeine sourced from coffee beans and guarana extract. The product launches exclusively online in Cherry Berry and Watermelon Strawberry flavors.

The company noted that each serving of the energy drink contains 20 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber, and 160 milligrams of caffeine, along with antioxidant vitamin A from beta-carotene. The caffeinated drink offers the nutritional features of the existing Beyond Immerse range with added energy.

Beyond Meat (BYND) is also expanding its original Beyond Immerse lineup to six flavors. Watermelon Strawberry is available now, while Limoncello Ginger and Yuzu Grapefruit are coming soon, joining Peach Mango, Strawberry Lemonade, and Cherry Berry. The expansion follows Beyond Immerse’s retail introduction in the New York metropolitan area through distributor Big Geyser and its launch at Erewhon stores across Southern California.

"As we add energy to the Beyond Immerse portfolio, we are staying true to our approach: great taste and carefully selected, limited ingredients that help consumers thrive," highlighted CEO Ethan Brown.

The company now describes itself as "Beyond the Plant Protein Company" and has introduced its Phytosphere portfolio spanning powders, bars, beverages, and center-of-plate foods, including Beyond Starmatter protein powder.

Shares of Beyond Meat (BYND) were down 1.8% in premarket market trading after falling 6.0% on Wednesday.
