Retired for 8 years, former Deputy Party Secretary of Kweichow Moutai Group Zhao Shuyue is under investigation

(Central News Agency, Taipei, 14th) The Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision announced today that Zhao Shuyue, former Deputy Party Secretary of Kweichow Moutai Group, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law and is currently undergoing investigation. According to mainland media reports, Zhao Shuyue has been retired from Moutai Group for nearly 8 years, yet he is still being investigated.

Xinhua News Agency reported that the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision announced that Zhao Shuyue, former Deputy Party Secretary of China Kweichow Moutai Distillery (Group) Co., Ltd., is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervisory investigation by the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision.

China Fund News reported that Zhao Shuyue had served as Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Moutai Group since August 2004.

Shangguan News cited a report from Guizhou Daily stating that on September 21, 2018, Moutai Group held a leadership cadre meeting to announce the appointment and removal notices from the Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) Party Committee and the Provincial SASAC. Among them, Zhao Shuyue ceased to serve as Deputy Party Secretary and member of the Moutai Group Party Committee and retired. In other words, Zhao Shuyue has been retired for nearly 8 years.
