NEW DELHI: India added another silver medal to its Asian Games 2026 tally on Thursday as Manu Francis and Prince Noble finished runners-up in the men’s skiff sailing event at Aichi-Nagoya.The Indian duo secured silver in the ninth and final race at the Kaiyoh Yacht Harbor, finishing second in the race to confirm their place on the podium. Their medal was also India's first in sailing at the Aichi-Nagoya Games.The silver took India's overall medal tally to 62 — 10 gold, 22 silver and 30 bronze.

Francis and Noble finished the competition with 23 net points, with the Chinese pair of Wen Zaiding and Liu Tian taking gold after accumulating 16 points.The Indian duo produced a consistent campaign, recording three second-place finishes and one race victory across the event. Their final second-place finish ensured they held on to silver ahead of Hong Kong, China, who finished with one fewer point than India.

Their performance also gave India its second medal of the day after the women's squash team secured bronze.

India's women’s squash team settled for bronze after losing 1-2 to Hong Kong in the semifinal. The result took India's squash medal tally at Aichi-Nagoya to four.Anahat Singh and Abhay Singh had earlier won silver medals in the singles events, while Joshna Chinappa and Velavan Senthilkumar claimed bronze in mixed doubles.With the sailing silver added to the tally, India moved to 62 medals at the Games, including 10 gold, 22 silver and 30 bronze.
