DPWH rehabilitation works in Metro Manila to begin Friday evening

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said that lane closures will take effect starting Friday evening, Oct. 2, in some areas in Metro Manila for its ongoing rehabilitation works along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue.

In its advisory, the DPWH said that lanes 1 and 2 along Monumento (A. De Jesus Rd.) to Balintawak (Kaingin Rd.) southbound will be closed on Friday evening due to breaking and hauling operations.

Meanwhile, on Saturday morning until evening, Oct. 3, the bus lane and lane 1 along Monumento (A. De Jesus Rd.) to Balintawak (Kaingin Rd.) southbound will be closed for installation and concrete pouring operations.

The same lanes will also be closed on Sunday morning, Oct. 4, for “cutting, sealant application, curing, and housekeeping activities”.

The agency advised motorists to follow traffic advisories and to take alternative routes during the scheduled operations. /jpv
