Redsan Denies Frightening Radio Hosts Out Of Stations And Beating Them Up

Kenyan dancehall pioneer Redsan has forcefully denied circulating social media rumors claiming that radio presenters were hiding from him out of fear.

Addressing the viral chatter on his Instagram story, the Shoulder Back hitmaker dismissed claims that journalists were fleeing media houses to avoid confrontations. He attributed the initial misunderstanding to a lighthearted video skit made by radio host Sheila Kwamboka, popularly known as Kwambox.

Expressing frustration with online commentary, the veteran artist accused certain commentators of spreading baseless claims to undermine the momentum surrounding his 30-year anniversary concert, Redsan@30. He clarified that Kwambox’s video was purely comedic and denied allegations that he had been showing up at studios to intimidate or assault presenters over negative comments.

The rumors picked up traction online due to Redsan’s past industry controversies, notably a high-profile September 2018 altercation with his long-time music producer, Sappy. A leaked recording from that incident captured a violent dispute over album tracks following the launch of his Baddest project, an event that sparked widespread public backlash before the two eventually resolved their differences.

Redsan maintained that his current relationships with media personalities remain entirely professional, calling on blogs and commentators to stop misinterpreting satirical content for sensationalized reporting.
