Beyoncé’s Cécred has quickly become a blockbuster hair-care brand since its introduction in February 2024. Led by the formidable $56 Edge Drops serum, the pop supernova is basking in the early success of her line, which was decades in the making.
Bey graces the latest cover of i-D and a portion of the interview published on Monday (Oct. 26) found the Grammy-winning artist detailing the “fulfilling” experience of bringing Cécred to fruition.
“My mother and I poured decades of experience, tradition, and love into Cécred, so seeing our community grow across every ethnicity, texture, generation and gender is so fulfilling,” she said. “In the beginning, it took some conditioning from the world’s perception of how to launch a brand founded by someone like me.”
Beyoncé continued to quip that the products are so effective that even her haters are lining up to buy them.
“I’m the founder, visionary and sole investor — not the face or model for this brand,” she added. “I had a vision to build something that solved real problems and performed so incredibly that the people who can’t stand my music still use Cécred, haaaa! … because it works.”
Beyoncé’s Cécred is exclusively available at Ulta Beauty. The products are primarily sold as part of the Foundation Collection, the Protection Collection and the Styling Collection.
While the Beyhive patiently awaits the rumored Act III, Beyoncé released the “Morning Dew (Donk) Remix” featuring her husband and rap mogul Jay-Z in August, which reached No. 26 on the July 18-dated Billboard Hot 100.
